The Wildfish Fly Pack, crafted by JM Gillies, is a must-have for all fly fishing enthusiasts. With nine packs to choose from, each containing 10 Felty's flies, it is suitable for both beginners and experienced fishers. These packs are divided into two categories: Freshwater Trout and Eastuary/Saltwater. However, there is a significant overlap between the two, making them versatile for a wide range of fishing locations. For instance, the Trout Streamer Pack can easily be used by bass fishermen in various parts of the country, while the Bass Pack contains flies ideal for tropical freshwater systems in the north. Similarly, the Billabong Pack is perfect for bass fishing and includes flies that are suitable for many other locations. Peter Morse, an expert in the field, has carefully curated this selection, making it a reliable and versatile choice for all fly fishing enthusiasts.

NYMPH FLY PACK #3

NYMPH  FLY PACK – Code: 35WFFW3

Fish those Nymphs with a bead head in faster water so they get down deep – fish them under an indicator. Look for the rough and tumble pocket water amongst boulders and drift a heavy Nymph through the deeper holes. Sparkle Dun and Birds Nest are fished when there’s a Mayfly hatch on. The lightly weighted Nymphs are fished in slower water and on lakes. Fish the scud slowly on the bottom in lakes. Bitch creek and Kaufman’s stone are great flies for bigger rivers.

DRY FLY PACK #1

DRY FLY PACK – Code: 35WFFW1

Spring, Summer, Autumn, lakes and little alpine streams there’s a dry fly here that’ll do the job for you. Check out the streamside bushes, especially look at spider webs to see what insects might be about. Elk Hair Caddis, Stimulator, and Royal Wulff are great general exploration flies on rivers and streams right through the day. The Adams, Irresistible, and March Brown are used when the mayflies are hatching. Beetle shaped patterns such as the Humpy and the Red Tag are excellent summer time exploration flies, fish the black ant on stormy days.

SALTWATER PACK #1

SALTWATER – Code: 35WFSW1

This range of flies can cover many saltwater species. Use the deceivers for larger fish and the Clousers when a sparse fly is needed or you need to fish deep. Many different species in many different situations will eat these flies. The sprats are great for Whiting, Salmon, Tuna, – use a fast retrieve.  Use the smaller flies when the fish are fussy and especially for Bream.

STREAMER FLY PACK #2

STREAMER FLY PACK – Code: 35WFFW2

Use the bead head versions when you want to fish deeper, try an intermediate line to really get these deep. All of these patterns are excellent lake patterns, use the black ones especially after dark, and can also be used in rivers where they should be cast across the current and swung through the flow. Several (the Woolly Worms) are excellent for Carp as well as Trout. Some of these flies will also catch Bream and Bass.

FLATS PACK #4

FLATS PACK – Code: 35WFSW4

Selected with a range of species in mind these flies will catch most fish found in the southern estuaries, especially those found up in the skinny water of the flats, Bream, Whiting, and Flathead. Apart from poppers most flats flies should be fished in the bottom third of the water column, if not on the bottom. Sometimes the fly is best on the bottom and at other times it’s best used with a fast retrieve and this can change from day to do. Be prepared to mix up your depths and your retrieves and remember, if in doubt go smaller. The second half of the run out tide is best for most of these fish. These flies can be fished in all of the estuary scenarios, not just the flats.
