The Inchiku jig was originally developed by Japanese commercial snapper fishermen decades ago. This technique used unattended rods in rod holders, allowing a few anglers to fish multiple rods simultaneously. Early Inchiku jigs were simple—all the same colour, and fitted with tiny size 4 hooks for pinning smaller snapper and other small-mouthed species.
Introducing the VEXED DHU Inchiku—reimagined for Australian conditions. We started by making the jig heavier and more compact, allowing it to sink faster and reach deeper waters. The hooks were upgraded to larger, super-sharp designs to handle the bigger, stronger fish common in Australian waters.
We also modernised the classic PVC octopus assist, replacing it with our durable, scented, super-stretchy, high-intensity UV/Glow Flashy Occy Head Assist. Pair this “Super Occy” with our range of proven Vexed Bottom Meat colour patterns, and you have an Inchiku rig engineered for maximum performance.
The DHU Inchiku is effective on a wide variety of species, including Dhu Fish, Snapper, Groper, Coral Trout, Cod, Red Emperor, Cobra, and Kingfish—making it one of the most versatile and deadly Inchiku jigs available.
