The Saltatrix deep drop rig is a two part rig featuring a heavy duty back bone section, which can accomodate up to three hook droppers. As a base pack our rigs come with one dropper & a deep drop light which is compliant with our local West Coast bio region regulations. Should you wish to run additional hook droppers in a different bio region we have our replacement Saltatrix deep drop hook dropper 2 pack available separately.

-Hook dropper: 15/0 Shogun Tuna Circle Hooks, heavy duty Harbor ball bearing power twist swivel, luminous chafe tubing, Shogun aluminium crimps
What could I catch using the Saltatrix deep drop rig?
Our Saltatrix deep drop rig is a development of our own fishing across Western Australia and has been refined to yield success. Its useful design will allow anglers to fish for a variety of species from 80m of water for species such as Nannygai all the out to 600m for Blue Eye Trevalla and beyond.
These rigs are proven, ultra heavy duty and have seen some great captures such as; Hapuka, Bass Grouper, 8 Bar Cod, Ruby & Gold Band Snapper, we have been told it has even hooked several Broadbill Swordfish!
*Please note our Saltatrix rigs are tied by our staff in store, so there may be some small variances in lengths and components based on availability of rigging materials but substitutions will be made to optimise catch results.
