The Saltatrix demersal - West coast rig is tied to comply with West coast bio region regulations. Featuring a snelled Shogun beak and octopus circle hook to accommodate medium to large sized baits such as whole squid, octopus or fillet baits, with a high quality squid skirt is used to help give additional movement to the bait and offer extra attractant and flash.

What could I catch using the Saltatrix demersal rig?
This paternoster style rig is suited to depths from 10m-100m of water, designed to extract hard fighting reef dwellers. Our hook configuration allows anglers to effectively fish with the rod in the hand or rod holder, the handy sinker loop allows its user to interchange sinkers seamlessly and with minimal fuss!
Our Saltatrix demersal rig is best fished using a snapper lead with just enough weight to stay in contact with the bottom to remain vertical with your drift. Large well presented baits are a must, we recommend using Vexed fillet thread to present baits nicely and keep the hook points proud. This rig has been the undoing of many a 20kg+ Dhu fish, meter long Snapper, 10kg+ Red Emperor, the list goes on!
