The Saltatrix custom made drone rig is the utimate drone fishing rig. Developed by our staff through trial and error we believe this to be the most effective, user friendly and easily storable drone rig on the market!
Drone fishing is all about preparation, and following systems, due to the nature of drone rigs being quite long we have come up with a user friendly system where hooks can be removed for easy storage, baiting and fish handling. This will allow drone fishers to seamlessly set up, bait up and get back in the water quicker when the bite is hot!
Please note the drone rig can accomodate up to 2 hook droppers however in the West Coast bio region anglers targeting demersal species are only permitted to run only one hook dropper. Our little tip is prepare both hook droppers with baits so as soon as one bait comes in you can simply unclip the catch or used bait and quickly clip the next bait on and fly out, with the empty crimp sleeve we use that to clip on a burley bomb filled with Bait Mate Snapper pellets using our Saltatrix dissolvable burley mesh.

-2x Hook droppers: featuring snelled Shogun 7/0 Octopus Circle and 7/0 beak hooks, Harbor ball bearing power twist snaps, Shogun lumo 100mm Squid skirts
What could I catch using the Saltatrix custom made drone rig?
The Saltatrix custom made drone rig has accounted for many, many trophy Pink Snapper captures! with the positively buoyant Shogun squid skirts helping to keep baits off the sea floor away from crabs, flat species and other non desirables. In addition we have had several note worthy captures on our drone rig including Western Australian Dhu Fish, Breaksea Cod, Samson Fish and Mulloway!
