The Gamakatsu Octopus Circle is purpose-built for anglers targeting bottom-dwelling and offshore species, making it an excellent choice for deepwater bottom fishing, boat fishing and bait fishing. Designed with an offset circle configuration, this hook is particularly well suited to paternoster and dropper-style rigs, as well as a wide range of cut bait presentations.
The circle hook design is intended to rotate as a fish takes the bait and the line comes tight, helping guide the hook into the corner of the fish's mouth. This makes the Gamakatsu Octopus Circle an excellent option for anglers looking for reliable, secure hook-ups with minimal striking action.
These hooks are particularly useful for rod-holder fishing, where the angler can allow the fish to take the bait and load up the rod rather than relying on a traditional strike. This makes them ideal for relaxed bottom fishing sessions from a boat, particularly when fishing deeper water with paternoster or dropper rigs.
Built with the sharpness and strength expected from Gamakatsu fishing hooks, the Octopus Circle is designed to handle the demands of targeting powerful bottom-dwelling and offshore species. Pair it with cut bait, natural bait or other bait presentations for a versatile deepwater fishing setup.
